Examples include plant cultivation; animal rearing; illumination in photographic or film studios; quality control; and solar panel testing. The sulfur lamp is a microwave-stimulated plasma lamp. It achieves a light spectrum which nearly approximates sunlight. The light spectrum remains nearly consistent throughout the entire life of the product. The light intensity can be reduced without changing the light spectrum. The plasma is stabilized by rotation of the bulb while the unit is active. The light consists of a compact aluminum housing and a cone-shaped reflector which can be adjusted according to the intended application. The electronic and magnetron are both built-into the housing
